New Player Sponsorships

We (VX International) sponsor former V2 World Champions Tom Hildreth (2012 & 2013) and Meghan Plummer (Youth 2012). We also wanted to invest in future talent, ie up and coming stars so decided that we would also initiate a Tier 2 sponsorship for younger players - so we have two of each tier.
After a lot of consideration we offered the sponsorship to Charlie Ford and Hannah Smith. Charlie has played for many years - he was one of Easi-RockIts first Junior players, literally - he was at their first Junior session. He grew through the ranks to become one of the key players of the all-conquering HellCats team that won Minster FM's 2013 Team of the Year, and he is a key member of the England Youth squad. in 2012 Charlie started V2 training to challenge for the 2013 Youth V2 World Cup and came runner-up in a close match, losing out by a very narrow margin to reigning Youth World Champion Tom Brown. Charlie was the only player to take a period off Tom.
Hannah has only been playing since Dec 2013 - so just about 15 months. In that time she has made a real impact. She beat all her peers in her club, then beat players her own age in a neighbouring club. She was then tried against an adult in her club and beat her, then she beat an England player in V2, too. She took part in a training session set up for international players just before the 2014 World Cup and shocked them all. Now training with some of the country's top adult players people are talking about her from Canada to Africa, from the USA to India - and she's still only 13.
This weekend we'll be supporting Charlie and Hannah in their first tournament wearing our colours. They are both contesting the V2 National Finals, Charlie in the Youth Category and Hannah in the Junior. We are hoping for high rankings for both of them.
Then shortly after that we'll be at the Active York Sports Awards to support Charlie as he is short-listed in the Student Sportsperson of the Year Category.
